MPO jumpers, allow for the seamless migration to higher data rates in the data center when used in conjunction with our trunk cables. They are typically used for patching within a cabinet. MPO cable, a cost-effective alternative to time-consuming field termination, is designed for high-density fiber patching in data centers which need space saving and reduce cable management troubles.
The MPO-12 APC (Female) OM4 cable uses 8 active fibers to transmit light and 4 inactive fibers as strength members. It is designed for linking InfiniBand and Ethernet multimode twin-port OSFP and single-port OSFP and QSFP112 transceivers together. The typical use case is linking twin port OSFP switches to each other, and to ConnectX-7® network adapters or BlueField-3® Data Processing Units (DPUs) in computing and storage servers.
